Tina Thomas, RN, is currently working with Loma Linda Medical center a teaching facility as a case manager in with the Home health department since March of 2017. Prior to this she was a House supervisor at Parkview Community Hospital for 6 yrs. In her 19 years as an RN Tina has worked in almost every aspect nursing specialties. . Early in her career she worked in Geriatrics at a SNF facility, Critical Care, Medical Surgical, Home Health, Public Health, and home Infusion for patient undergoing chemotherapy/Immunosuppressive home infusion. Tina said she found her niche in Nursing Education, where she is currently working as a home health case manager where she gets to teach patient, family and nursing student about how to manage their disease and symptoms at home, because this kind of Nursing proved to be very unique. It enables her intimate contact with patients and satisfies her desire to teach and support them through one of their most challenging life experiences. Tina says that what also drew her to this particular field of nursing was the challenge it affords her every working day. “No two patient cases are exactly alike and no two days are the same.”
Tina received her Bachelors of Nursing degree from Grand Canyon University.
In her free time, Tina likes to cook, garden and play volleyball but most of all spend time with her own children.
